Cobalt Hydroxide is a rose red monoclinic or tetragonal crystal, insoluble in water, slightly amphoteric, difficult to dissolve in strong alkali, but soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution.Mainly used as a coloring agent for glass and enamel, as a raw material for other cobalt compounds, and as a desiccant for varnishes and coatings.
CAS No.: 21041-93-0
Properties: It is a kind of light pink powder, specific gravity 3.597, soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution, insoluble in water and alkali. It reacts with organic acids to form cobalt soap.
Raw materials for cobalt salt manufacture, drier agent of paint and varnish, as well as catalyst for hydrogen peroxide decomposition.
It is used in the manufacture of cobalt salts, cobalt-containing catalysts and electrolysis to produce hydrogen peroxide decomposers. The paint industry is used as a paint drier. The glass industry is used as a colorant. Used as a cobalt salt, cobalt catalyst, battery electrode impregnation solution and paint desiccant; for glass, enamel coloring, cobalt compound, and desiccant for paints and varnishes.
