Properties: White powder or cubic crystal. Relative density: 3.18; melting point: 1403°C; boiling point: 2500°C. It will shine if heated. It is soluble in strong inorganic acid, and will decompose and release hydrogen fluoride. It is slightly soluble in diluted inorganic acid, and is insoluble in water.
Application: mainly used in steel smelting, chemistry, glasses and ceramics manufacturing. Pure calcium fluoride can be used as the catalyst for dehygration and dehydrogenation.

Product Details

   Calcium Fluoride is olorless crystal or white powder; insoluble in water, slightly soluble in inorganic acid; and hydrofluoric acid formed by the action of hot concentrated sulfuric acid. The experiment generally uses calcium carbonate and hydrofluoric acid or repeated treatment of fluorite powder with concentrated hydrochloric acid or hydrofluoric acid to prepare calcium fluoride. The calcium fluoride minerals in nature are fluorite or fluorspar, often in the form of gray, yellow, green, purple, etc., sometimes colorless, transparent, glassy, brittle, and markedly fluorescent. Very spring fluorite is used to make special lenses. Fluorite is mainly used as a flux for smelting metals; it can prevent dental diseases when drinking water contains 1-1.5ppm calcium fluoride.

Storage: it should be stored in dry and ventilated warehouses. Don't transport or store it together with acid. Please handle it with care to avoid package breakage.
