Cobalt tetraoxide synthesis method

Method 1: Cobalt powder is calcined and oxidized in air at a temperature of not higher than 890°C to produce tetrahydrocobalt.

Method 2: Cobalt monoxide is heated and oxidized at 500-750 DEG C for tens of minutes in an oxygen flow of 101.1 kPa to generate tricobalt tetroxide.

Method 3: Cobalt sesquioxide can be prepared by burning a divalent cobalt salt in air; cobalt sulfate is calcined at 800-890° C. for 1 hour; cobalt carbonate is calcined at 550-800° C. for 1 hour.
