Product Description:
Cobalt Chloride is pink to red crystal, and the Cobalt Chloride Anhydrous is blue. It is micro deliquescent, soluble in water, ethanol, ether, acetone and glycerin. It can be used as an indicator for the analysis of reagents, humidity and moisture, ammonia absorbent. The cobalt chloride crystal is stable at room temperature, loses crystal water to blue when it is heated, and turns red again in humid air. The aqueous solution is heated or concentrated hydrochloric acid, chloride or organic solvent turns blue.

The Cobalt Chloride Anhydrous is used for the production of barometers, hydrometers, wet and dry indicators, etc.
In ceramic industry, it is used as a colorant.
In paint industry, it is used to make paint drier.
In animal husbandry, to configure compound feed.
In brewing industry, it is used as a beer foam stabilizer.
In defense industry, it is used to make gas masks.
In the folding chemical, it is used for spot analysis of zinc, single-breeding, and also for the production of hidden ink, cobalt chloride test paper, color-changing silica gel, and the like. Also used as an absorbent for ammonia.
The Cobalt Chloride Anhydrous is hydrogenated with other metal halides under hydrogen to form finely divided intermetallic compounds. These intermetallic compounds can be used as structural materials or compounds with useful thermoelectric, magnetic properties, and oxidation resistance.
