Product Description:
The Fluorosilicic Acid, also known as hydrofluoric acid. Anhydrous is a colorless gas, which is unstable. It is easily decomposed into silicon tetrafluoride and hydrogen fluoride. The aqueous solution is colorless and has a strong acidic reaction, which is corrosive, can erode glass, and should be stored in containers such as wax or plastic. When the concentrated solution was cooled, crystals of colorless dihydrate were precipitated, and the melting point was 19 °C. In addition, the Fluorosilicic acid has disinfecting properties, it can be used in the manufacture of fluorosilicates and cryolites, and used in electroplating, beer disinfection, wood preservation, etc. It is prepared by dissolving silica in hydrofluoric acid or heating quartz powder, calcium fluoride and concentrated sulfuric acid. It can also be obtained by absorbing the silicon tetrafluoride gas escaping from the phosphate rock in the phosphate fertilizer plant.
