Nickel carbonate has a molecular formula of NiCO3, and its properties are rhombohedral light green crystals, which are decomposed at temperatures above 300 °C. Soluble in ammonia and dilute acid. Insoluble in water. Oblique square green crystal. Decomposes above 300 °C. Soluble in ammonia and dilute acid. Insoluble in water. It is prepared by reacting an alkali metal carbonate with nickel sulfate. Used in electroplating, ceramic coloring and glaze.
