Nickel Chloride Solution
Nickel chloride is a green or yellow crystalline inorganic compound that produces toxic gases when heated. Nickel chloride is used for electroplating, ammonia absorption in ammonia catalysts and industrial gas masks.
Most nickel chloride is used for electroplating and nickel plating for the preparation of various nickel salts and nickel catalysts; During the electroplating process, it accelerates the dissolution of the anode metal nickel while also increasing the electrolyte level of the solution. Nickel chloride can be used as a catalyst for organic synthesis (for example, pyrazolopyridazinyl), as a reducing agent for nickel nanoparticles, as a reducing agent, as a nickel complex, and as an industrial gas mask to prevent ammonia. It can also be used as an NH3 absorber in gas masks and as a source of nickel ions for cell culture and toxicology studies.
Formula: NiCl2 XH2O
