The Cobalt Sulfate Heptahydrate is rose red crystals. After dehydration, it is a red powder, soluble in water and methanol, and slightly soluble in ethanol. It is used in ceramic glazes and paint drier, also used in electroplating, alkaline batteries, production of cobalt-containing pigments and other cobalt products, as well as catalysts, analytical reagents, feed additives, tire adhesives, lithopone additives, etc.

Properties: Brown yellow or red crystal, density: 1.948g/cm3, melting point: 96.8°C, freely soluble in water and methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol. It will rime into anhydrous compound at 420°C.
Application: The Cobalt Sulfate Heptahydrate is used as paint drier in coating industry, glaze for painted china in ceramic industry, additives for alkaline battery and lithopone in the battery industry, also used in producing pigment containing cobalt and material for cobalt salt. Besides, it is also used in electroplating, catalyzed, additive for feedingstuff, analyzing reagent.
